Two people were injured in a road accident on the Girne - Alsancak ring road on Monday evening.
The accident reportedly happened at the Girne - Alsancak ring road at about 8:00pm on Monday.
The car driver identified as Banu Sanver, 43 who was reportedly high on 253 promil alcohol was carelessly driving towards the Girne direction of the road in excessive speed when he hit a car at the round about close to the Girne American University, Girne.
With the impact, the vehicle somersaulted and was badly damaged.
Two people sustained injury in the accident and were taken to the Lefkosa Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital for treatment.
