#REPLAYTUNES: Cyprus Police Orders Schools To Be Strict On Class Attendance From Now On.

The North Cyprus police directorate in a bid to rid the country of stranded international students who are living in the country but not attending classes has issued a directives to all universities to read out attendance in class.

According to an investigation carried out by Olomoinfo Blog, this new directives is part of government crack down on foreigners especially students residing in the country illegally and those who are working illegally under the guise that they are students in the country.

In recent time, the north Cyprus immigration has gone on campus tour around the country to enlighten new and old students of the need to be registered in school as well as processing their resident permits which gives them a valid stay in the country.

In several online and news paper reports in the past, it was discovered that several students who have been arrested for one crime or the other were out of school and had no valid resident permit.

Also a recent directive by the Ministry of Labour to stop issuing work permit to students intending to work in the country might have contributed to the new directives as report reaching us say there was an ongoing mission to stop all those who are not registered with any universities in the island from working which might also lead to their deportation.
