REPLAYTUNES: Cyprus Police Releases 8 Zimbabwean Students After They Were Proven Innocent of Robbery Accusation.

News quickly spread like wild fire across the island on Thursday when it was reported that eight Zimbabwean students were arrested by the TRNC police for robbery and burglary but the good news is that these guys have all been released after it was proven that they were not responsible for the theft around Girne and Lefkosa.

On Tuesday, six Zimbabweans and two Cameroonians were arrested by a special team in the Girne police department and charged to court for stealing goods from several shops in Girne and across the island more than three months ago.

A source close to them revealed to Olomoinfo Blog on Thursday that they have been released after it was discovered and proven that they were not responsible for the robbery claims.

According to the source, police took them for questioning because they lived in the same apartment with one Mike who is the suspect.

Mike is still in police custody as investigation continues.

There was kind of a mini party for them to celebrate their release which was aired on Facebook live.

Happy for them that they have been proven innocent and finally gain their freedom.

Authorities should do more to investigate crimes and issues before harassing and arresting innocent people.

Did this happen because they were Africans?

Who arrests people without first obtaining a concrete evidence against them?
