An Australian lawmaker has proposed to his gay partner in Parliament. Tim Wilson, a liberal MP, fought back tears as he turned to the public gallery during the debate for the legalization of same sex in the country and asked his lover, Ryan Patrick Bolger to marry him.
Bolger broke into a broad smile and replied “yes”. This followed a round of applause from the other lawmakers.
Wilson and Ryan have been in a relationship for nine years.
