The annual American music festival Coachella kicked off this weekend and one of the most anticipated performers, Nigerian pop star Wizkid could not make it there.
The internationally acclaimed singer was on the bill to perform on the same night as Beyonce but was unable to travel- his band couldn’t secure a visa early enough.
‘We are sorry to announce that Wizkid is unable to make it into the country to join us this weekend but will be performing next weekend’, Coachella tweeted from its official handle.
Wizkid himself expressed disappointment at not being there on the night as a result of his band’s inability to get a visa on time, promising to be on stage next week.
