During the 2018 edition of comedian and radio personality Ushbebe’s annual comedy concert “Chronicles of Ushbebe” which held earlier this year at the infamous Eko Convention Centre in Lagos, the comedian cracked shady jokes about female Deejay and daughter of Nigerian billionaire; Femi Otedola.
Speaking at the event which was attended by thousands of fans and celebrities including Wizkid and Tiwa Savage, the comedian referred to Cuppy as “wack”, insinuating that her rise to stardom in the music industry is merely a result of her ability to hold things down on the turn-table; implying, therefore, that Cuppy has come this far only because of her father’s position.
In a recent interview with NET which saw the DJ share details of her challenges being in a male-dominated industry, Cuppy gave a response to the comedians shady joke.
“We are all in entertainment, and I feel like a lot of people have to realize that; I may play songs that people might not like. It’s life. A comedian may say a joke that people don’t like, and it’s life. We are all here trying to do what we can. I don’t really let people get to me. I do my own thing. I’m so self-assured and I believe in what I do”, She revealed.
