A terrible murder took place in Alsancak this afternoon where a 53-year-old man was stabbed to death by a tenant.
The deceased identified as Memduh Ulgün was stabbed to death by a tenant at about 12:30pm on Tuesday afternoon at Zeytinlik Street in Alsancak.
According to report, Memduh ULUGÜN was having an argument with two people when he was stabbed in the chest with a knife by one of the men. He lost his life at the spot.
Relatives of the victim who came to the scene of the incident, allegedly tried to lynch the suspects, but police quickly intervened and dispersed the crowd amid chaos.
The police had to open fire before they could control the angry crowd.
Memduh Ulgün, before his death was serving at the Water Affairs Ministry in Alsancak Municipality.
Two people were arrested for the incident as police commences investigation.
