There seemed to be a tension between two entertainers who used to be close friends in persons of award winning rap artist, Kevin Tita and comedian NI Emeka after the two traded words on stage at the recently held Nigerian Independence Day concert which was held at the EMU Cultural Centre. It started with NI Emeka who told a joke aimed at Kevin Tita and XTine where he said Kevin Tita is yet to cash out since he dropped his hit song 'CashOut' and advised him to get Don Jazzy on his song or else he won't make it as a musician. The joke didn't sit too well with Kevin Tita who replied saying 'I just got engaged, I don't see a bigger blessing than that'.
The beef has been buzzing around the streets of Cyprus and has been featured on the latest episode of iLite TV's news.
Both artists have come a long way from two students that came to school in Cyprus to becoming really popular as entertainers, headlining shows, winning awards and representing well for their country. They have also have a really close friendship which has even extended to NI Emeka's signed artist, JayBlinkz who worked with Kevin Tita on her ASGA Award winning song 'Million Dollar Movement'. We don't know how serious this might get but we hope it doesn't escalate beyond the stage. Watch the clip from their verbal exchange below.
