Is TBone's New SIngle 'UNDERATED' Dope Or Trash?

TBonez is one of the few artists in Cyprus that came into the game with a bang. He debuted on the scene two years ago and was quickly signed to the biggest entertainment label at the time, OfHand Entertainment and he enjoyed massive exposure, publicity and quickly rose upwards in the ranks of African artists on the Island. One thing that really helped the hype transition into real love for TBonez is the fact that he always came through with good music and we say always, we mean ALWAYS.

In 2015, Tbonez was tipped to have a huge potential to dominate the game with his single 'Soke' which was to come with a video but right after the audio was released to build up anticipation for the video, OfHand Entertainment was shut down after the CEO, Jubril Arogundade ran into some major problems and had to leave Cyprus ultimately. Once more. This kind of stalled TBonez flame for a while, he kept his vibe going through a self released single 'Nawti' and a feature on one of his close associates, YungZap's single 'Lasgidi' (we can guarantee you that 90 percent of the people that listened to that song, did so because TBonez was featured on it).

Fast forward to 2016, after TBonez spent a better part of the year in low key mode and without a management team or record label, he finally signed to Music Mansion Entertainment which is a really new entertainment outfit in Cyprus and soon he commenced work on a slew of new songs and sooner than expected he announced that he will be releasing a new song titled 'Underrated' which features former YBNL act, Chinko Ekun. And finally the song is out.

There are only a few songs that ReplayTunes bring under the microscope, one of our criteria's for a song to come under our scrutiny is that the song must be relatively popular in Cyprus and must have critical acclaim in this this very Dope or Trash webisode, TBonez is the focus.
Ok now to the song.... is it DOPE or TRASH...... IS T IS DOPE... in fact freaking DOPE.

Here is our reasons.

A Worthy Come Back.
Underated served as a befitting come back song for TBonez after all the set backs that trailed his career in the last one year in Cyprus. He lost his deal with Ofhand Entertainment and was at one point considered to be 'cold'. To all those that wrote him off, this is his come back and the song is undeniably catchy enough to make you listen to the message he has to pass across.

Top Notch Production.
We have to give kudos to 3D Classiq who produced the song. Underated seem to be a well thought work when it comes to the production and arrangement, not letting the beat carry the song or the artists's effort over shadow the producers input. This is one thing various Cyprus artists have struggled with for too long. In most cases, they get a good beat and sing sub par stuffs on it or they write a good song and use sub par beats to record it and down the vibe.

Total Honesty.
If you have ever been in a position where people told you that you can't sit or hang with them, this is the song for you. It seems Tbonez is venting but in a rather smooth sail vibe. A lot of people in Cyprus are currently going through a hard time due to the harsh economic conditions back home and what more can be soothing to help you through this than a song that you can relate to.

Chinko Ekun
Although Chinko Ekun is not an A list Nigerian artist yet but the young chap is killing it with his single 'Shayo' right now and beyond that he is a good rapper. He gave his best on 'Underated' and one thing we loved about his verse is it will connect with the average Nigerian in Cyprus because he mentions Cyprus in his raps which means he has a very good idea about the artists he is working with and where he is coming from. This is in a way putting us on the map.

A Typical Tbonez On A Very Good Day.
It is also note worthy that TBonez has had this particular vibe for a while now. The laid back, good evening, by the beach kind of vibe to his music which can be likened to what Mr. Eazi is doing right now. Just that in his case, he incorporates it with rapping and he has stuck to this gun for a while now. It is a good thing to see a rapper that also knows how to write songs where he is singing. This is also the reason why Kevin Tita caught everyone's ears as well. TBonez is proving himself to be a force to recon with and he is on the right path.

We rate the song 8.5/10.
