Nigerian singer, ZinhHill is a bunch of talent, yes a bunch of talent. He does a bit of production, plays live instruments, writes songs, raps and sings. Yes he does all that and when all that is snow balled into one person, what you get is nothing short of blissful entertainment. After releasing a slew of singles over the last few years which have helped him build a following across Nigeria especially in the northern parts of the country, he has finally release his debut album titled 'Punch Yourself'. What a controversial title right? well thats till you listen to the contents of the album and get blown away. Today he sits down with ReplayTunes Magazine to talk about everything. No need to bore you with details, just get right to reading and enjoy.

ZINHILL: Thanks... Feels good to be here
Replaytunes: So tell us about yourself.
ZINHILL: I'm Zinhil, a Nigerian inspirational music Artiste, I hail from Enugu state, southeastern Nigeria, from a family of four, a strong believer in God, family and music.
ZINHILL: I'm a graduate of industrial chemistry,University of Abuja, So it's easier now,before I go back for my masters i intend to dish out good music for my fans.
Replaytunes:how do you handle your fans?
ZINHILL: I believe I'm here only because of them, So I give them maximum respect you know... by being responsive to their comments and inquiries on social media and on the streets.
Replaytunes:wha about your female fans?
ZINHILL: For the female fans you know there's more complexity in relating with them... But its all fun, i tend to draw boundaries in full respect for the ladies, but love is the ultimate.
Replaytunes: So kindly tell us.....do your family support you, if yes...how?
ZINHILL: It was a horror for me initially... I hail from an academic family so it was hard for them to oblige to my dreams of becoming a musician, but now its all massive love after i have shown my unrelenting output of good music.
Replaytunes:whats the ordinary thing people don't really know about you?
ZINHILL: Well.. You know how it works with the industry... Its uncertain how and when things blossom out big, but potential income as time goes on with God is gonna be massive, and I have my eyes at giving back to society one way or the other.
Replaytunes: So whats the potential income for this career?
Replaytunes: What a typical day/week like for you?
ZINHILL: I have a day job at a tutoring centre where i do my bit to add to the society, so i really get a busy week all the time but music occupies ma time.
Replaytunes: What skills/personal attributes are most important to being successful?
ZINHILL: Basic interest, determination, vast knowledge of your venture or endeavor, then subjecting one's self to mentoring.
Replaytunes: So what do you like the most/least.
ZINHILL: God is the number one in my life. Then I hate when one is being overly interested in the money and not the work that brings it thereby letting the preliminary fame get into the head and distorting focus.
Replaytunes:What are the typical mistakes people make when trying to pursue this career?
ZINHILL: No bro... I'll do this over and over again...In fact at a point in my life I hard to choose amongst 3 things. Elite Academic sponsorship, international football experience and music... But I chose music. Of course this was after my basic education was attained.
Replaytunes: If you had to do it all over again, would you still choose this career? Would you do anything differently?
Replaytunes:Its common for musicians to be out of work for long periods of time, how can you supplement this time without work?
ZINHILL: Like I said before I love to tutor... So I can easily pick up a tutoring job. But that will definitely not be the case. God dey! Lol
Replaytunes: Your image is basically an extension of your music, how important is image?
ZINHILL: Well I started writing stories from an early age, but I felt something was just missing, i wanted rhythm, sound, in what I created...Then I listened to R-kelly Michael Jackson, P-diddy, Fabolous, Tu face, sound sultan etc...I fell inlove with their sound.
ZINHILL: My image is very important to the music like u rightly mention, Its so important that I guide it like a treasure. Ensuring that I have the image of Zinhil protected, if anything changes about it though it'll be an improvement.
Replaytunes:When did you start writing about music and who were your early influences?

Replaytunes: As a semi celebrity now....how is your relationship with your family?
Zinhill: Wonderfull, despite my tight schedules I spent quality time with my family.
Replaytunes: Dope work, What advice do you have for aspiring artist who wants to be like you?
Replaytune:As an independent record label....whats your label doing now for your career...
ZINHILL: Basically Promotions.
Replaytunes: Now tell us a little about your latest album that has been in circulation and why did you title it PUNCH YOURSELF.
ZINHILL: Hahahaha,Well... The punch your self album is a compilation album actually like an EP, I needed to put those songs from the past and present together and send out the message. Punch YourSself actually means "do not go blaming another man for the problems we face, We gotta look inwards and change and blame no one.

Nice album Zinhil.. I listen to it everyday to "punch my self" before my activities, keep it up bro.. And replaytunes, mehnn u guys "ROCKS" .. Always shine out young talents..
