2016 keeps bringing in more controversies as Cyprus based Nigerian rap act, Yung Nature is back in the headlines for the 3rd time this week. Just a few minutes back, he threatened to go 'Kanye' at the ASGA Awards after he suspected the committee of trying to pull down the categories he was nominated for. He was nominated for Best Song Of The Year and Artist Of The Year.

Now we have been getting reports that the ASGA Awards committee in GAU really planned to scrap the Song Of The Year and Artist Of The Year categories and their excuse was that there is no artist from other countries that have released songs or promoted their songs as much as the Nigerian artists did this year. Our opinion on this is... BULLSHIT. If artists from other countries chose to be lazy and waste the whole year posting pictures on Instagram and chasing girls in the DM while Nigerian artists chose to work hard and chase their dream, why should Nigerian artists be denied the reward of their hard labor?
Nigerians are undoubtedly very hard working African individuals in Cyprus and everywhere else they are found, why should the laziness of artists from other countries rub off on them? Yung Nature has released two massive songs this year 'Adim Bad' and 'Turn UP' and has worked tirelessly round the clock to promote them, where were the artists from other African when he was recording, releasing and promoting his songs?
Awards are given to artists that have worked hard for the year in review and not denied or with held because an artist did not work hard. If Yung Nature happens to be the only artist that worked hard this year, he should be given his awards as a way to encourage the lazy ones to work hard. His nationality should not play a role in what ever in this case.
This is just our opinion.
