Former Spice Girls bandmate Mel B is set to check into rehab following her addiction to drugs and post-traumatic stress disorder.
43-year-old Mel B (real name Melanie Janine Brown) announced her decision to check into a UK hospital for alcohol and sex addiction.
The Americas Got Talent Star revealed that she has been working with a writer on her book titled Brutally Honest which has turned out to be very traumatic for her as it made her relieve memories of an emotionally abusive relationship and the losses she had to go through. She also revealed that the past six months have been traumatic for her and it has never really been about sex.
Mel also said she has been financially battered since the separation from her US producer, Stephen Belafonte, but is determined to get better for her children.
She and Belafonte were married for ten years but separated in 2017 after which she accused him of emotional and sexual abuse. According to Mel B, their marriage was not the happy facade projected in public. Instead, he made her have sex with other women and impregnated their family nanny. On his part, he accused her of being addicted to cocaine and alcohol.
