ASGA Award winning Nigerian rap artist and song writer, Phileon Chukuka Okezie popularly known as Kevin Tita is celebrating his birthday today August 10. His fans and fellow artists on social media have been showering him with prayers and well wishes.
Kevin Tita has contributed immensely to the Afrobeats music movement in Cyprus, he is major influencer when it comes to the sound, quality and popularity of songs that have been released in Cyprus which have gained a following both in and oustide the Island.
His music journey started in Kaduna state, Nigeria where he was born and raised. he was alsready the biggest musician in the state before he left to Cyprus to school. He was featured on the cover of XtraTime Magazine (in fact he was the first artist from the state that was featured on the magazine cover). He bulit a very large following among the youths in Kaduna state and signed a record deeal with UK based record label, Babylynn Entertainment.
Kevin Tita later on moved to Turkish republic of North Cyprus where he had to start all over again as a musician. He is the first black artist in Cyprus to build a buzz online before he started doing shows. He has released several songs that have become hits among the African community in Cyprus at different times including 'Grass To Grace', 'Cash Out', 'Wait', 'Tripping For You, 'Blessings' and 'Million Dollar Movement', these are the most popular songs he has released so far in Cyprus.
All through his stay in the country, Kevin Tita has toured Cyprus as a performer and has shared the stage with some of Africa's greats such as WizKid, Run Town, Mr. Eazi, Stanley Enow, YCee, Inyanya, Reekado Banks, Killer T and more.
Kevin Tita is also the most awarded African artist ever in Cyprus. He has won a total of 13 award plaques including. Lets go through a run down of how many awards he has won so far.
