A 27-year-old Kyrgyzstan national has attempted to commit suicide by jumping from the top floor of a building in Girne on Thursday morning.
The man identified as Sadyrbek Alymbekov, 27 reportedly carried out the act at about 10:45 am on Thursday morning at the top floor of an apartment located at the Rix Abaras Site in Girne.
According to report, he was severely injured in the incident and was taken to the Lefkosa Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital where he was operated on.
Police report say no one witnessed the incident and could not explain why and how the event unfolded.
Sadyrbek Alymbekov, who resides on the second floor of the apartment building fell on the concrete slab and had a cut on his throat report say.
But further police report say he had a knife cut on his neck and chest.
