#EXCLUSIVE: The Music Industry In Cyprus Wanted Me To Fail So Bad - Kevin Tita Reveals.

ASGA Award Artist Of The Year winner, Kevin Tita who is currently basking in the hype surrounding his buzzing smash hit single 'BLESSINGS' has taken to social media to let some things off his chest about the music industry in Cyprus.  In what can be termed an open letter, he revealed how the whole industry in Cyprus wanted him to fail and so they turned a blind eye when he released his debut music video for his song 'Gbeborun' and his new single 'BLESSINGS' which hit the No.1 spot on the Afrobeats charts in Cyprus with over 14,000 streams on SoundCloud and 5.403 downloads so far.

He also said that he constantly deals with depression and due to the fact that he doesn't have a management or team, he makes alot f mistakes but he won't quit. See what he said below.

Someone was making calls telling people not to book me for shows. Promoters turned their backs on me. My own team switched on me. They thought it was over coz of what people were saying. I was placed No.5 on the Top 10 when I won Artist of the Year twice, Song of the Year just last year.Artists who I did collaborations with were scared and didn't want to drop the songs we did. I did interviews that never got published to date for reasons I wasn't told. It all just seems like everything stopped all at once and I was sinking.I had 3 songs to choose from but my intuition said, sing about how BLESSED you feel in the midst of everything and I went with that.
I dropped #BLESSINGS and the whole industry folded their arms and expected it to flop. Same thing happened when I dropped my video but this time it was very obvious that they really wanted me out of here for real. Only 4 artists shared it later on. Some other artists drop and everyone is supporting them on SnapChat, IG and everywhere else but when i drop everyone turns a blind eye coz they think I am the reason the artists they support aint making as much waves.
#BLESSINGS went on to rake in 5,371 downloads 14.6k streams within a month. Set the record for fastest downloaded and streamed Afrobeat song in Cyprus and became my 4th No.1 solo song. The 5th one is 'Million Dollar Movement' which I featured on. I can now perform for 45mins straight and people will know the songs I am singing on stage.
People see the pics and videos but don't know the demons I deal with everyday. It's not always smooth. Infact 80% of the time its really depressing. Always thinking of whats next and where to go from every point I get. I dont have a management or team or nothing like that so I make alot of mistakes.
I will be performing 6 shows from now till June. I aint dropping no more single. Just gonna go ahead and release the album and let everything off my chest I swear.
'The Miracle Baby EP' June 30th.
