Ruti Olajugbagbe, a Nigerian-born British student and a part-time carer from Southend-on-Sea emerged winner of popular music reality show, The Voice UK over the weekend after her incredible rendition of the song– Dreams by The Cranberries earned her a spot on the live show.
Following her win, Ruti lives with her mum, dad and little brother Femi and currently attends the Youth Creation Performing Arts School in Stanford-le-Hope got a cash prize £100,000. She also bagged a record deal with Republic Records.
Earlier in the show, Ruti and coach Sir Tom Jones perform the Louis Armstrong classic ‘What A Wonderful World’, which she followed by a solo rendition of the Daniel Bedingfield’s ‘If You’re Not The One’
