Sheeran’s guests will have an “ecumenical” space for “peace and safety from disturbance.”
On Ed Sheeran’s Private Chapel
According to the proposal, the chapel will have a small entrance porch, a small gallery, a stained glass window, and a 48-foot tower with winding steps.
Designed to be “strictly non-denominational and for the spiritual regeneration of both traditional and less traditional types,” it is expected to take around 24 people in eight pews.
Nevertheless, the chapel will look like traditional Saxon round-tower churches, found in England’s Suffolk County.
“The intention is that the chapel will appear as if it has been present for over a thousand years,” the application states.
The 27-year-old musician intends to use the chapel for the “celebration of key life and family milestones,” like marriages and christenings.
Reportedly, the chapel will be built by the architecture firm, Donald Insall Associates.
BBC reports that the Suffolk Coastal District Council is expected to respond to his application in April, 2018.
