A Turkish Cypriot lawyer, Nil Celiker, who went to shop in South Cyprus with her three-and-a-half-year-old son, was attacked by Greek Cypriot while parked.
Nil Celiker, 30, a mother of two had parked at a parking lot in a shopping center in Nicosia when she was attacked. Her car rear window was broken by the unidentified assailants.
The victim who was greatly terrified by the incident went to the border gate and complained to the Greek Cypriot police.
Nil Celiker who spoke to Turkish Cypriot daily, Kibris, said this is her first time of experiencing such an incident. According to her, she went shopping with her son in a shopping center in Nicosia at about 3:45 pm. When she was done shopping, she was surprised to see the windows of her car broken at the parking lot.
She also reported the incident to the North Cyprus police.
This is not the first time such an incident has happened to Turkish Cypriots in the south as there have been complains of similar incidents in the past.
