Come 28th February, 2018, the Igbo Amaka (Igbo Community) North Cyprus Chapter and the Nigerians In Turkish Republic of North Cyprus will be hosting his excellency Chief Dr. Sir Ikedi Godson Ohakim (former governor of Imo State). The governor is arriving Cyprus Sunday 25th February at Ercan Airport and will be received by a host of Nigerian students. Buses from Near East University to the airport will be leaving at 1PM afternoon, TShirts will also be made available to everyone in attendance.
Then on Wednesday 28th February he will be hosted at the event proper at Near East University alongside his aides. Performing at the event will be `ASGA Award Artist Of The Year winning rapper, Kevin Tita alongside DJ Extimate.

The purpose for his visit is to discuss and initiate solutions to various problems faced by Nigerian students in Cyprus as well as motivate the students to emulate and pursue a just cause with an aim to boost the image of Nigeria as a nation in the diaspora in what ever field they find themselves in.
