PROUDLY NIGERIAN: Olamide & Burna Boy Shut Down London Back To Back.

Every Nigerian around the globe must be having a good year when it comes to our image and culture being promoted positively and our music gaining a major reach through out this year, it started from WizKid and his international triumphs since 2015 till now and the filtered into Davido's Sony Deal, Tiwa Savage's deal with Roc Nation and other acts like Ayo Jay that have helped in lighting up the torch that other artists will carry on for years to come.

This month, 2 of Nigeria's biggest music stars in Africa made history as they sold out a 5,000 capacity venue back to back. The first one was Burna Boy with his Home Coming UK Concert on October 4, 2016 at the Apollo Theatre in London, the concert served as his first time returning to London in 7 years since he left in 2009.
Then on October 9,2016, Olamide and the YBNL crew sold out the same venue. Wait, did you get that, yes the same venue. Looking at how far our music has come, who would have though Nigerian music will go this far, remember the times when Nigerian artists didn't even used to get paid well toperform and Eedris Abdulkareem had to sacrifice his career to fight for the rights of his colleagues? Remember when 2Face first announced he will be working with R.Kelly and it was a huge news in Nigeria? Remember when  DBanj first worked with and signed with Kanye West? yes all those event built up the momentum that the Nigerian music industry is enjoying outside the coffers of our continent today. We have come so far. See some pictures from both concerts below.
